Boyfriend is a singer. He plays guitar. He can also hit a few keys on a keyboard and make it sound mostly like music. I think his best musical talent is what I like to call “steering wheel drums” when he uses his fingers as drum sticks against the steering wheel when a good song comes on in the car. I know I’d personally buy an album of steering wheel drumming.
Boyfriend has a new EP coming out in February called The Right Words EP. I asked him to call it the “My girlfriend is better than your girlfriend” EP and I feel like I was really close to convincing him but last minute I lost out to The Right Words. Ummm…I think the right words you’re looking for are “my girlfriend is better than your girlfriend,” thank you very much.
While I still hold a slight grudge over the EP title I think Boyfriend is good at music things so I decided to spend 75 thousand hours making a lyric music video for his single. 75 thousand hours may be an exaggeration, but only slightly. It took forever. I had trouble getting some of the lyrics to sync up to the song because in some parts of the song he decides to sing a little faster than other parts and also because I don’t have a sweet clue what I’m doing and had to read a tutorial to learn the program 30 minutes before making the video. Naturally when I had trouble syncing up the lyrics and song I asked Boyfriend to go back into the recording studio and record the song again with my music video in mind. Oddly enough he laughed in my face at that request. Quit being such a diva, Boyfriend! It’s not all about you!
Speaking of how it’s not all about him, I’m going to share his music video. But I’m doing it more so for me, because I spent 75,000 hours making it. I had to do it frame for frame. Each letter that is added to the video is me creating a new photoshop image, saving it, adding it to the program, cropping it and making it fit with the song. I’M THE BEST GIRLFRIEND EVER. Well either the best girlfriend ever or just the girlfriend who is the worst ever at video editing. Or both. Let’s go with both.
Okay so I also want you to hear his music because it’s good but mostly this is my blog so if he wants to promote his shit he can get his own blog therefore this is more about you seeing the video I made.
If you like this single it will be released on iTunes February 11th and you can buy it then. If you buy it you are basically donating money to the Boyfriend Takes Lisa Out For Steak Dinners or to See the Movie Frozen When She’s Having a Bad Day Fund. If that’s not a worthwhile charity I don’t know what is.

Having had to make those types of the videos in the past (with the same learning process as yourself), I’d say it did take you a long time!! But it turned out beautifully. 🙂 I will most definitely donate to the Boyfriend Takes Lisa Out For Steak Dinners or to See the Movie Frozen When She’s Having a Bad Day Fund on Feb 11th 🙂
