Today has been a pretty great Valentine’s Day so far. I woke up early, went to hot yoga and sweated my morning away with Katie. I left the yoga studio approximately 8 pounds lighter and made my way home to Boyfriend. We exchanged gifts. I made him a cheesy little music video set to the song “To The Moon” by Gabrielle Bir (she is Jenny Lawson’s niece and I first heard of her on thebloggess.com and quickly became obsessed with her cute songs). You can watch the video below and then go here to check out more of Gabrielle’s songs.

Boyfriend got me a bunch of chocolates from The Newfoundland Chocolate Company that have affectionate local sayings like “Me Trout” or “Kiss me, luh.” I absolutely love them and was smart enough to hint at Boyfriend in a tweet one day that I wanted them for Valentines.

Look - aren't they cute?!

Then Boyfriend took me to the grocery store so I could buy myself a cake for lunch. And now he’s downstairs playing video games and I’m in bed watching Netflix and eating cake. My idea of a perfect day, if you ask me! We are going to be super romantic later and order cheap Chinese food and watch movies. I can’t wait!

I hope all of you are having a great Valentine’s Day, or if you don’t celebrate Valentine’s, I hope you are having a particularly fun Saturday and that you also get to binge watch a good show on Netflix while eating cake for no reason.

I will leave you with a Sam Smith Valentine’s Day card that I just made for my yoga bestie, Katie. I am particularly proud of my photoshop skills on this one! And don’t forget to check back soon for some 30 Day Yoga Challenge updates!

And to top it all off… you were virtually plugged by The Bloggess herself, Lisa!

(Does it feel as sexy as it sounds?)

But seriously, enjoy the cake, movies and Chinese food, young lady!
